Frequently Asked Questions
"Your delicious food, so beautifully served, helped make our engagement party last Saturday a very special occasion. Our sincere thanks for the time you and your staff took to make it so."
- Betsy

How much will my wedding cost?
There are many factors involved, but typically a wedding with The Catering Company will cost between $60 and $95 per person. This includes the food, service, (everyone necessary to serve, cook, bartend and run the event) and rentals (china, silverware, glassware, tables, chairs, linens etc). This price does not necessarily include a tent and it does not include the cost to rent the space, gratuity, entertainment, flowers, photography, liquors etc. Our wedding coordinator can provide you with some average prices for these services on your initial proposal

What about liquor?
We order the liquor, beer, wine, sodas, juices, mixers, ice, tubs, lemons, limes etc. You are only billed by consumption and you take with you anything that is opened or chilled, the returns are credited to your original delivery and you are billed accordingly by the liquor store. There is no markup for our coordinating that service! You will pay the bartenders directly.

How will I find people and/or companies to provide these "additional services"?
We have a list of preferred vendors who will handle all aspects of large events and wedding services. We will handle the rentals, service, bartenders, bars and food directly with our vendors. You would handle all additional services.

I've heard that your food is great, but will I be able to sample it myself before making a decision?
Of course! Come visit our production kitchen at The Blawenburg Market. Taste our delicious breakfasts and lunches or sample of your wedding meal.

My Aunt Sophie would like to provide all of our wedding desserts. Is that okay?
Well no, not really. After years of experience we need to adhere to our policy: when we are providing service staff to serve food, it needs to be our food, especially in an event as special as a wedding.

I'm having my wedding outside, but I can't stand thinking about the possibility of rain. What can I do?
Most of the time it does not rain, but in the event that it does, our rental companies can provide you with more than adequate equipment to keep your guests dry and comfortable. You can even reserve additional "piece of mind" items (heaters, fans, tent walls, runners and marquis) and cancel them at the very last moment. The rental company charges 50% for these types of cancellations but some people find this cost well worth it.

Who will be in charge of running the event?
One of our wedding coordinators, the same person you booked the party with originally who will understand all your concerns.
